Unique formulation using PNS Technology which preserves the Complete Natural Turmeric Matrix with high curcumin content.

Curcumin has taken the world by storm as a natural anti-inflammatory, but is notoriously poorly absorbed. Absorption and bioavailability has been central to industry advances to ensure effective delivery. Absorption mechanisms such as liposomes, micelles, nanoparticles, piperine, and phospholipid complexes are often used to improve absorption. However, one particular patent-pending delivery method has been clinically shown to be far superior and without question the most effective delivery method: PNS Techology®.

Polar–Non polar Sandwiching (PNS) Technology® facilitates the smooth penetration into intestinal & target tissue’s polar-non polar cell membranes.

Our advanced PNS Technology® facilitates the interaction of curcumin with proteins and lipids in the hydrophobic groups on these molecules, and encapsulates curcumin in hydro-gels to improve its solubility and stability in aqueous systems.

  • PNS technology is used to increase the bioefficacy and bioavailability of curcumin by preserving the natural matrix of turmeric without any degradation of the active molecules.
  • PNS technology incorporates the polar and non-polar compounds of turmeric. The active molecules are well protected inside the polar-non polar matrix without any structural degradation.
  • PNS technology ensures the delivery of the active molecules at the specific site thereby ensuring the bioefficacy of the product.

PNS Techology®, branded as Cureit and sold in SA by NeoGenesis Health as Curcumigen, recreates the natural matrix of turmeric, which plays a significant role in increasing the bioavailablility of the curcuminoids.

  • Pregnancy and lactation: Turmeric is likely to be safe when used as a spice, but the safety of therapeutic doses has not been established.
  • Curcumin has no major side effects.
  • Turmeric can cause gallbladder contractions and should not be used by individuals with gallstones or bile duct obstruction.
  • Turmeric has an antiplatelet effect and should be discontinued for at least two weeks before elective surgery.
  • Concomitant use with prescribed anticoagulant drugs not advised.
  • Animal studies suggest curcumin may reduce the efficacy of cyclophosphamide (a chemotherapeutic agent). Concomitant use is not advised.
